Replacement | Warehouse Floor
We recently toured a warehouse facility and found the ownership in the process of replacing the warehouse floor. When asked why, it was explained the prior tenant used the property for cold storage. A majority of the 120,000 SF warehouse was kept at below freezing temperatures. In an effort to save money on their utilities, the tenant was not great about utilizing the heaters designed to keep the foundation from freezing. The continuous change in temperature caused the warehouse floor to buckle and ultimately having to be replaced. The contractor walking the project with us estimated the replacement cost at $10 PSF.
